hi all .
just wanted to know , is it possible to export from 3ds max to a .x format to be used in GG ? , and if so what is the steps needed to export any 3d model in 3ds max to a .x format in to GG ?, if possible.

There is another for import of x file, but I will have to find its location. Fragmotion is great for importing x files and exporting .obj for static, or .FBX for animated, and get them into 3ds max.

so 3ds max itself can not export to .x ?

Not natively. It will need one of these plug ins, depending on which version of max you have.

Here is the x file importer to max. they stopped making updates to it in 2012. I have it working on 2015.
Give it a shot and see.
