While looking at Bods lovely models and messing about saying all we needed was a bunch of Bombers, the idea then popped in there and i thought i'd have a go myself at Guy Gibson's Dambuster's Lancaster. Im not really good at the texturing side so its not quite right on the top yet, and i need to put the struts in the canopy but I'm kinda proud of it so far as i think its the best one I've done to date. Here's some pics of it so far, still struggling with the body decals as i made it a little to low poly but i'll continue trying

Thanks guys its not very good though, looks worse close up, @ Bod you could do much better m8 I'm sure, this one has no moving props etc :/ , be nice to see some Bombers just rattled this one off to do a Dam scene, im pretty sure there was a Mossie involved as a spotter will have to look into that. If i can better it with some smoothing i'll post it up but as i said I'm not to hot at these especially the texturing.
P.S the tail guns the wrong shape as well :/ lol
should look like this :

Ok started work on the Mossie making the basics in Anim8or ready to drop into Max then fragmotion for the textures just done the wings

well its kinda stating to look like one ROFL think the wings need to be alittle shorter

and thats me for the night lol

Not bad, wings definitely need some work, a mossie wing is far more tapered, almost to a point. The engines need to be longer and more pointed at the front end, needs to be more of a point to the tail fin, tail is a little narrow at the end.

If i get a chance sometime this week i'll pop round the corner to our local mosquito museum and get some pics.

Hey, cool man.

I never use the importer, just drop the folder with all the files in the entitybank folder and good to go, maybe that will work for you.

Edit: just remodeled two wings with lower poly counts lol @ bod cheers m8 makes soo much difference i was going the wrong way (see pics)

AND......... here it is my nearly completed Mosquito MK2 thanks for all the advice guys, helped alot

Hmm which one next lol

Yeah Myke ty for showing me how and today's mission was one for the German side this baby would have been a common sight on the German airfields in WW2 and one of my personal favorites, still needs the textures tweaking (the underside seems to be the wrong grey = too bland) and the decals putting on but im happy with it so far ... I'm getting better at this

The "HE111"

BF110, JU88 and a Manchester next

Just Finished the JU88 now to get it into GG

And in GG

YAY I managed to do two today mumhahaha ME109 needs some tweaking as do the others but its done in and working (done a flying version of this one as well textures took longer than making the bloomin aircraft need to dull down the yellow but will do that when i add the exhausts

Aircraft so far:

Hawker Tempest :

Hadley Page Hampden :

Had a bit of a clean up session today and slowly going through the aircraft and finishing them all off starting with the Lanc which as it was my first attempt was pretty crappy tbh so I've completely started again with it and done 6 versions the B Mk1, the B Mk2 and the B Mk3 special (Dambuster's version) Ive just got a little bit of work on the textures left and add the exhausts on the Mk1 and she's good to go have done flying and ground versions of all pretty pleased with the results

and the first versions of all 3 Lancaster types in GG have made the exhausts and added them just need to add the gear flaps for the ground versions

Still working on the textures (mainly the plating lines etc) for these have around 25 different aircraft now, struggling with the prop animation for the flying versions as im not very good at it yet but im working on them still all are low poly so np having lots on the map, actually pretty cool when You add Amen Moses's scripts to them No game idea as such thought of the Dambusters missions but i'll see. heres a pic of the ones (ground versions) already in GG, still have others that need to be textured Manchester, Shackleton etc etc. I've also adapted smallg's spaceship script to make them flyable but have been unable to get the player when in flight to roll so not ready with that yet

You could make some of them damaged, some with a wing missing ext .would make a great pack to populate a airfield with workers working on damaged planes.

Yeah could do i suppose Dave what I'm going to do is put the pack as is up on the free section of the forums, with the textures etc etc which if anyone has fragmotion they can edit them as they wish. This is mainly because I'm still working on "Galaxy" and so i may not have time until it gets colder to finish them off completely (still have quite a few unfinished) and if anyone is doing a WW2 game they might find them of use will be posting them all up shortly
