Hi all,

it's bit quiet in chat at the moment, so thought I'd post a vid

Might not look it, but there's a lot of relatively new GG stuff at work here:

The terrain map is imported - it's actually a scaled down version of one of the Hawaiian islands (height map exported using terrain.party and imported using one of the capabilities of Preben's GG-Loader). Got a great Grand Canyon terrain this way too, it's pretty distracting (and fun) finding real terrain and importing into GG to walk and fly around.

The terrain texture is completely procedurally drawn (thanks again to the mighty Preben showing the way here, building on top of Lee's 16 tile approach). Trees are also placed procedurally at random.

Much, much smoother flying vehicles are possible now thanks to the new camera override and other lua commands and also spotted in the latest beta the capability to change the default terrain and water height, so I'm back working on some submarine levels too.

Many thanks to Tarkus1971 for the free music and SFX.

Cheers.

Terrain has a very nice natural look to it.
The flying is much smoother as you say.
Very nice.

that is so cool, I cannot wait until the particle system is up and running, just imagine snow blowing on top of those mountains, foot prints would look good too
