Awesome, always thought this looks a great tool. Will be trying it out later I almost splashed out on this awhile back but it's an expensive program to buy without seeing it in action. This will be nice to give it a good test and see if it's worth the money

I'm pretty sure you need another program to export anything out of i-clone, so unless you're creating cut scenes it's not much use on its own.

I own IC 5 pro. It's a cool program but it's like DAZ in a way. you end up spending a lot of money on characters and items. you have to buy 3d exchange pro to get fbx characters in and out of IC.

@ devlin - I found that strangely compelling to watch .

Nice - do the characters look similar imported into GG?

Cheers.

these characters are quite high Polly, can be reduced though,
mabie in the future GG will run them who knows,
but saying that with dummy bones a lot can be achieved,
i am looking forward to lots of experimental work with iclone in GG.
but remapping bones is real easy, adding a generic fire spot is easy,
for characters or other objects. you can import GG media in fbx format
to create scenes. here is a old video showing eye and mouth movement
for speech.

yes the need for 3d exchange makes it a bit pointless, one very expensive importer

It was "oh this looks interesting" to "oh well never mind" in 15 minutes

I felt about the same way...

The set up and serial number problem, was a big problem... When I finally got it to work, I realized that you needed to buy a lot of stuff and it would be too much hassle...

I clone is a great program to use if you want to do animated movies. Not so much if you are just looking for a cheap way to do easy, pre built characters for video games. you also have to pay for an export license for all the stuff.

What we need is a bigger version of character creator. Something to make lower poly characters. (between 2500-5000)

A smart business move for lee would be to have one of the staff. make character creator as a separate program. Have export to .x (for guru) collada, and fbx. Would be a nice income for TGC.

3d exchange pro is not just an importer exproter, it is quite amazing what you can do with it,

i have posted this before but if you are thinking of learning animation,
look at the link bellow, this shows how easy it is to rig a character.
the demo shows a iclone rig but can be just as easy be a gg rig,
we all want something easy to rig characters for free but how long do you think fuse will be free,
and what if it does get discontinued, it is nice to learn and does look daunting to do.
but even at this level of design in GG sooner or later you will wish you had,
especially if you want custom characters, a lot of members here want to do there own custom
characters and as we have looked at iclone and the cost then this alternative is a very good option.
but the features of this software are excellent compared to some top end programs.
and comes in at about £60.00 on steam.
