when importing new item the box colision mode dont save your edited colision box it uses the default the one the engine set at the begining in order to save your edited collision box you have to selecet collision boxes even if you only have colision box one.

that's right, they are totally different things.
box collision is an auto generated collision box that should encompass the entire model, while the user defined boxes can be any shape or size
