You can get this program.
Segment welder and Weapon Welder.

Or there are the 3ds max weapons rigs in the files/docs folder, that you could mess with.
But you would need model, rigging, and animations skills for this method.

No you cant. The weapon must be attached to the hand dummy in the weapons HUD, You will need an animation program or the weapon welder program to accomplish this.

Open the HUD.x of the medieval/sword gun file and look how it is rigged and animated in fragmotion.

The problem with pre rigged stuff is switching things out without breaking the rig. Takes a little knowledge.

Then you are looking in the wrong place. A weapon cannot work as a player weapon without a HUD.x

There are two locations for weapons:

1. files/entitybank/weapons
This is where the physical item you place in the editor is located, this is NOT your player weapon, it's a physical model in the editor.

2. files/gamecore/guns
These are the actual player weapons and all of their associated files.

This folder will contain a folder named for its type (modern, fantasy, scifi etc), and in each of those folders will be a folder for the actual player weapon, in those folders will be the following files (plus or minus some of the sound files, not all weapons have all the sounds):

Primary Desktop:
i7 7700,k NV1070 8GB, 16GB 3200mhz memory, 1x 2TB Hybrid, Win10.

Secondary Desktop:
i5 4760k, NV960 2GB, 16GB 2333mhz memory, 1x 2TB Hybrid, Win10.

Laptop:
i3, Intel 4000 series graphics, 6GB memory, 1x 500gb HDD, Win8.1.
