Hi guys! I'm working on a new sci fi pack for you all, and have hit a snafu. I've heard tales from near and far, of a scripter who possesses great powers. It is from He, or She I seek council.

Ive managed to build around 20 or so models this week for the pack ( which is slow for me, I know), but have got to this one, and need help getting it to work, if possible. It still needs some texture work, but the mesh is complete. I would like to consult you about possible features that could be implemented for such an entity. That way, If I need to change anything, I can do it while it's still being worked on, rather than finish it, and have to start over.

So, I ask humbly, If there is anyone who could help, drop me a PM, or let me know something here. Thanks.

what sort of features are you looking to make the lift do?
now that forced player movement is in GG a basic lift is not a problem

Well, I'd like it to be super easy to set up. So that folks who may buy the pack, who like me , don't script, can use it with little effort.

Would something like a call switch be possible, to call it to the floor your on (top or bottom)?

I don't want multiple floor selection like an elevator, but rather floor A to floor B, or A, to C etc.

Thanks Guys. I'm resolved to the fact that I need to obtain more knowledge about LUA. I plan on a crash course after this pack is done. Before I begin the next. ( Return to Hell House) I do of course know that you guys could probably make this do all sorts of things to make it Awesome. My only concern was that folks who are new to GG, would see this in my pack, and have no idea what to do with it. And I would be little help to them.

That's fantastic! Are you using a command to bring the lift to the floor your on, or is it automatic? either way I love that.

Automatic, I've also put a comment in the platform script showing where to put sound sample commands.
