Is it possible to change the name of the standalone process? Currently it's called "mapeditor"
Looks a bit stupid, when you have a game on steam and ppl are asking..
Modder, Soundtrack Composer and now Game Developer. Well, sort of.

Good point! Happy to rename it to something generic, ideas welcome from the community. Perhaps something to disguise it was written in GameGuru too, just in case We could simply call it 'gamestandalone'...

Launcher? Launching? Starting, building? even maybe didnt actually notice this and i build alot but i do see where your coming from

When you create a standalone the runtime file name takes on the name of first level so would it not be logical to have the process take its name from the filename .

If some one wanted to hide the fact its created by game guru the things that would also need changing include icon and the name of the logfile.

There are a few options could even take the name from your first level or have a 'custom' option to name the file when its created

You can change that easily, also the icon and other attributes are possible, with ResourceHacker: http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/.

were not talking about the name of the .exe, were talking about the name of the client process in task manager
