Hi guys,

I just wanted to post this with the hope that it gets fixed soon.

After loading a game, the screen turns completely green sometimes. (standalone)
Also in editor mode, after testing multiple times, the green screen appears..

I hope this gets adressed soon.

Cheers

Green screens can often be shader related - are you using a custom shader - are all your shader files ok?

This doesn't happen for me. To fix it Lee will likely have to recreate it. Do you have access to another pc - if so does it happen on that machine? Is it only certain maps or all of them?

EDIT - perhaps you are running out of video memory - are your levels large and full where this happens?

Cheers.

Some pic, some vid, some runtime error message?
Sometimes if you wait and let GG doing all byself, so GG has time to generate error message, but it don't if you back by yourself, via task manager or something like that.

I think your map get corrupted, usually missing media.
I've experienced sometimes, and allways I lose my map.

Still sounds shader or video rendering issue to me. This is exactly what happens - a full rendered green screen with the game still playing.

Not sure what to suggest if you're using stock shaders and your card is ok. Hopefully Myke can shed some light.

Cheers.

Last time i got a green screen like that was after a graphics driver update. Occasionally a driver will get pushed out and effect some software. Have you updated your graphics driver recently? If you have then try rolling back to the previous driver and see if that fixes it.

Backup your maps often and with different names. Just a suggestion.

Usually I do: mymap_test1a and mymap_test1b, they are exactly the same. I work with mymap_test1b, and when I do some relevant progress so, mymap_test1a_with zombies and mymap_test1b_with zombies, they are the same as well, and so forth.
Of course all then within a folder.

I had a profiler running for that and it was indeed video memory overflow.
