There seems to be 2 different types of .x files used in GG. One type starts with 'xof 0303bin 0032' (binary) and others start with 'xof 0303tzip0032' (compressed). I can import and edit the bin files, but not the tzip files. Anyone know how to uncompress these?

I have also found a free tool for importing .x files called LithUnwrap, but it too has trouble with compressed .x files.

I would open them in fragmotion, then export them as a xfile uncompressed.
