I took a submarine and turned it into a character to use in TPV but texture will not display....

tried entity and character_basic.fx in fpe and turned down bloom.....cant figure this out!

any feed back appreciated...ty

Are the texture still in the folder with the model?
Does the model use multi textures? if so, rem out the texture line in the fpe file. maybe rem out the shader line also.

Tried both yet still all white.....here is my fpe

Didn't we have this issue before with models using Multi Textures ?
Even with the Isthirdperson command ( which is no longer used )
The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

Got the files. Looking at them now.

thanks....yes it's scaled down! In tpv it will fire the RPG and fire ball with out a fire spot in the x-file! I scaled it down for normal tpv because of camera x/y

Ok, after testing this in Game Guru, it is still white.
That means that because you want to use it as a character, it will need to have at least one bone in it.

I added a bone and skinned the mesh to it. Also added the FIRESPOT bone. Tested In Game Guru.



I need to rotate the FIRESPOT bone and clone an RPG weapon with a pureblack texture to hide it. Should work ok after that.

So forget my first three emails.

Thanks Myke but still getting all white .....I even put it into a standalone and no x-file in the folder! Tried manually installing X into he standalone and still white.....
