Hi all,

I'm curious about the findings of the 'building editor guide' which can be found in the docs folder.
Give your opinion on what you think

I'm willing to make a second tutorial for Game Guru which will be a thorough explanation on all the possibilities which Game Guru offers currently.
The reason for this is obviously because many users and certainly new users are in the dark about many of the possiblities which Game Guru offers and how to extract them.
Certainly Lua is one of them of course, i feel that if this explained well enough that it will greatly improve the general view and use of Game Guru.

For me this is obviously a learning curve, hence i've learned much while was working on the 'building editor guide' so it is only natural that all credits go to us all as the community and Lee of course.

Let me know if you are open to this idea because you will find me in your PM box if need info on certain areas.

Hi Earthling45

I found it to be very informing and thank you for doing it an updated GG document would be most welcome I think the last iteration was from 2015 so I think it would be an excellent idea

Earthling45 sent me an early copy to look at .... I expected a simple manual but this took me by surprise ...
It covers just about everything in great detail and a few tricks I hadn't noticed

If your going to make another GG manual I cant wait

Thanks for the EBE Guide, very helpful.
I would love to see some new Docs on GG.
I am relatively new to GG and would appreciate all the help I can get.
Really LOVING the new updates!

Thanks for the kind words

For the next tutorial i already have a plan to build a multi level game which will thus serve as a template for the tutorial.
Of course all the features which are currently available will be used and thoroughly explained.
So it will take some months at least, but the result would be another tutorial and a demo game added to Game Guru if it is to Lee's satisfaction.

Hello everyone.

Seriously guys. Personally I highly apreciated any new manual material... But can you guys also write down here where this ominous "docs"-folder is located on anyones PC? Since steam implements Game Guru, most people won't be able to find that folder in their "Programs" or Windows DOCS (per User)-folders anymore...

Thanx in advance!

Robert

EDIT: Found it.

It is rather quiet on the forum, i hope that this is a good sign

Next week i'm going to work on the new manual, but first i'm going to have some quality time with the new terrain textures to see how this is.

Great manual, and it would be really fine if you could write another more comprehensive one on GG in general: GG is definitely not an" easy game maker" if you're not a coder! There are too many things that we ordinary mortals don't know. Thanks again for the manual - I requested a manual some time ago on the EBE - I hate video tutorials - and saw I think what was your response that you would be writing one. Have been away from the PC for some time but lo and behold, on my return there it is. Really a great help.

Hi Earthling45, I like... great manual. I have not really used EBE until now so thanks. Just one thing it may pay to include jump links in the content to other subjects as the manual grows over time or if you update any others.

Keep up the good work

I notice the PDF guide is one tenth of the size of the DOCX file.
Are they the same ?

I can't say with 100% certainty, but I just opened up the docx and skimmed through it and it looks pretty much identical to the pdf. The pdf does appear to be the superior format for portable documents, indeed!

yes, a pdf will usually be smaller than a docx, its kind of the format, pdf is designed to be more compressed so they can be used for emaiks and presentations etc.
