Hi!

When you start a new random level, you can see on the sky that some of the clouds are moving, a little bit like a smog on the air. Cool thing and brings live to the game. But my question is: is it possible to adopt that "moving cloud" thing to another skyboxes? Example I have downloaded a Mountain 2 skybox, but dont know how to get that smog to there.
Mayby the solution is very easy? But I dont know it.

Thank you for your info..

Look in the folders of Game Guru/files/skybank/ Sblue and Ssunset. Copy the texture that has the _CLOUDS.dds to the folder you want these clouds to be in. Rename the prefix to the names of the textures in the folder you are copying this to.

In the skyspec.txt folder add this statement to the end and save the file.
;SKYSCROLL SPEED
SkyScrollX = 10
SkyScrollZ = 10

The number controls the speed that you want these clouds to move at.

Run a level in test game. press tab tab and choose your skybox from the skybank drop down in there.
Press tab once again to get rid of the Metrics and then <esc> out of test game and save your map file.

ok. Move the mountain2 folder out of the rolfy folder and place it in the skybank folder.

You will need to name this folder to Smountain2 for this to work. Then the textures also need to be named Smountain2_ what ever the rest is named. As in this example from Srstrm folder.

Also try running test game again after you add it to the level and save the map. Sometimes Game Guru needs to reload the map file to see the clouds move.

EDIT:
You will need to check this out as your sky being used is pretty dark. Let me know how this works out for you.

You will also need to open the x file in notepad.exe and change the textures names in the file. Save and test.
The x file should now look like this in Assimp viewer.

Yours looked like this when I received it.

Moving this thread to 3rd Party Models/Media Chat as this has nothing to do with scripting.

Thanks.

Now the clouds are moving but I cant see mountains.. only a black sky..

Mountain2 folder has moved out of the rolfy folder and I have placed it in the skybank folder.
I have named this folder to Smountain and all the files as well.

Can you zip up the whole folder and email it to me, if under 15 mb to myke1net at hotmail.com
If larger then email me a download link and I will check it out on my machine.

Thanks.
