I had problems with normal maps I'd made in Sketchup, what I did was make a interior wall, rendered a normals, depth, colour and AO passes
In GG with me rendering the normal map from the front view if it was viewed from any other angle it looked really bad
give me 5 minutes and I'll show you what I mean

I don't think it is the texture, I just right clicked on the buildings that went black and selected 'EDIT' from the popup menu then pressed 'E' to go back to entity mode and the building reappered, so I did that with the rest of the EBE structures and thet are all back

I think it is a bug but what do I know lol I cannot even model

ok I found a workaround uploaded what I did in case it happens to someone else :

how many textures can I have in one scene? I have 4 EBE sites could it be that?

when you change your texture you get a texture set which you'll find here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Game Guru\Files\ebebank\default
in theory it shouldn't matter as each site appears to get its own texture bank..
what is a worry is I have 1GB of files but only one site

You should be able to use 16 textures on a building site and 16 other textures on the next building site and so on

I will try to reproduce this and see what happens.

It does look really good GraPhiX

The first effect looks like a bake issue. Try baking the scene over. The second looks like a bug as you say, perhaps GG is not updating the other sites properly. Being new, it's bound to have a few little niggles on first release.

Nice looking scene there, good use of the EBE

yes I have done it 14 times now, the last time I started then pressed escape to cancel and saved to another file, opened that level and no joy I'm afraid

the only thing I would wish for with the EBE is a more precise rotate ie. rotate to 45 degrees or 30 degrees rotating entitys or EBE parts to angles would be excellent

this first step is really fun the next bit gameplay is going to be more tasking I know what I want but whether I can do it is another story the two LUA books I ordered came this morning I'm not even going to open them until I have the scene set how I want it.

My Blender course is also coming along hopefully I will have some custom models in soon, I'm working on an automatic barrier at the moment

LOL can you do me a favour? can you put 4 of your panels in a scene and F3 them see if it happens to you I am using 1.141 so would be helpful if you could use that version and not a beta please.

the screen shot is just your panels in an empty scene nothing else. It only happens on the sun side.

Ok I'm using the beta and don't seem to be getting the issue ?
These pics are with lightmapping using F3 ... However without light mapping they look fine as well ?
