Can you show me a shot with the same issue where the walls are at least 5 units thick? Thanks.

As lee said, you need to make your walls at least 5 GameGuru units thick (the width of an EBE wall piece), although i find it best to make them 10 units to be on the safe side.

He means the live release.

Public = 1.4
Public Preview = 1.41
Beta = Whatever Lee's put up

Public = 1.4"

Makes sense; do I need to turn off betas all together to get the live release? The last Public release I have in my list of versions available is 1.33. Or am I missing some other location to select the version?

Turn off betas and it will automatically update to the live version. You should be able to turn betas back on again if you need to.

Only if you have uninstalled and reinstalled GG ..otherwise you should only need to select the beta again and it should update ..

I switched from beta to live a few months back, then when 1.4 went up on beta i opted back into the beta, it would not let me back in until i entered my beta code again, i hadn't uninstalled.

Downloading GG in my Desktop, 3hs and 28%....
Would be nice having a chance to not download FILES folder, since I already have this folder in my laptop.

Strange .... I completely uninstalled yesterday and had to reinstall .....Once done I just selected the beta and off it went ....
It wasn't instant though .... About a 30 second delay then it said " Update Queued " ...Updated and showed as beta ..

And I expected to enter the key under those circumstances

Team wolf: When you use very thin walls the "shadow" depth buffer will not be preside enoff to see the wall , Lee has improved the depth buffer in the next "public preview" coming in a few days , it might help in this case, well at least it will allow you to have smaller geometry and still have shadows.

When using thick walls you still get the problem: When a shadow depth buffer is rendered using a camera , it ONLY render the back faces of the models ( your wall ) , so perhaps you have some geometry going wrong ? , could you try to place a wall from the default GG media and see if that will block the shadow ? , if so perhaps you have something inverted in you model ? , if your using standard media please share what model your using

Only after prebake: could you try to see if there is any collision when this happens , try to see if you can walk through that wall when you see the shadow ? , Lee fixed some stuff when loading the lightmapped version of the object , like normals ... so perhaps its just something like this , this has been fixed in the new "Public Preview" version coming in a few days , perhaps this release will fix it
