3com, I did a quick write up. I hope it helps!
EBE Directions
Begin a new "Construction Site" by clicking on the Builder tab on the left and clicking "Add New Site".
Select the piece you want (Floor, wall, etc.)
Select the texture you would like on that piece from the texture palette.
Lay down your piece on the editor grid!
Ctrl + Left click (hold) allows you to continue placement in one direction only. Very useful! This also works when deleting a piece (Ctrl + Shift + left click)
To delete a piece, place your piece cursor over the piece and Shift + left click to delete. (Note: You must have the same texture selected in the palette in order to delete a piece. This helps to prevent accidental deletion.
Mouse scroll adjusts the height of the grid. This is the height at which your pieces will be placed. Note that when scrolling, the increments available are equal to the height of your piece.
To change a texture in the texture palette, right click the texture that you do not want. An OpenFile Dialog will appear allowing you to select a replacement texture from the Game Guru/Files/ebebank/texturesource folder. This is where you will place your own textures if you wish to do so. The custom palette that you create will be saved with the ebe structure upon save. Note: Ebe structures are saved by default in the entitybank/user/ebestructures folder.
On the Texture Palette, the "+" and "-" keys allow you to select the material index of the texture (the sound it emits when walked upon)
To exit EBE Edit mode, Press "E".
Left click on the EBE structure again to select from the menu to Edit, save, etc.
Note, you can associate an external object to the Ebe structure by extracting the object and pressing "L". It took me a couple tries to get it to work. Note that it does not save with the structure!
I hope that's enough to get you started!
