I see there is no door or window items in the left EBE builder selection panel, have they been removed?

You should use the editor and remove segments around the window and door frame, then apply it.

To be honest, I preferred the old cut out doors and windows, doing it this way does mean more control over shapes and sizes, but it feel cumbersome.

You can always make your own PBF files to add your own brush shapes. I did not want to clutter the basic shapes, I wanted to see what you guys and gals come up with first! I am also thinking on ways to make the doors and windows a single click operation, just mulling over the options

How do we do that? I looked in the PBF file, and nothing has any meaning to me.

I think the pattern, change 1 to 0 where you want a opening.

Edit,

I've tried it and it works.

Just so people are aware, i found last night that when you make your own PBF patterns, you need to make the pattern upside down in the PBF file, i constructs the first row first, then the second, and so one, when you place it in the editor.

so if you wanted to make a wall with a cross that has a long lower arm, it would look like this:

11111111111111111111
11111111111111111111
11111111111111111111

I would like the EBE to have a feature whereby you could easily create custom PBF files in a 3D visual way.

I think there is a great place for a third party PFB maker in our futures

So far, so good with the EBE, just 1 question has the row prefab been altered in some way, as the position seems slightly different. Might be me.

Since we have some ebe questions going here and I didn't want to start a new thread I was wondering, how do we do grid mode with walls? I watched the video above and I can't seem to find out to do it. I have an outside wall and I was doing in inside wall with a different texture but to get the wall to build on the next row over is giving me trouble. "B" doesn't seem to work... I'm enjoying this quite a bit so far though!

To get a wall sitting alongside another wall, you need to think about the floor tile, and having a wall on the East side. Then move one tile to the right, and then place a second wall on the West side of that tile. This way you can have a wall against another wall which would typically be an interior and an exterior wall. No need for the B key grid system which is only used outside of the EBE editor.

I'd love to be able to have a toggle-able grid like the EBE has for entities in the normal editing mode. That would be really helpful for those that use the grid while using entities. But that's a whole other topic

You can make your cross from top down if you wish...

;Pattern
prow19x0 = 11111111111111111111
prow18x0 = 11111111111111111111
prow17x0 = 11111111001111111111
prow16x0 = 11111111001111111111
prow15x0 = 11110000000000111111
prow14x0 = 11110000000000111111
prow13x0 = 11111111001111111111
prow12x0 = 11111111001111111111
prow11x0 = 11111111001111111111
prow10x0 = 11111111111111111111
prow9x0 = 11111111111111111111
prow8x0 = 11111111111111111111
prow7x0 = 11111111111111111111
prow6x0 = 11111111111111111111
prow5x0 = 11111111111111111111
prow4x0 = 11111111111111111111
prow3x0 = 11111111111111111111
prow2x0 = 11111111111111111111
prow1x0 = 11111111111111111111
prow0x0 = 11111111111111111111

you just number your rows from 19 to 0
instead of 0 to 19
