Im using dynamic lights with real time shadowing not pre baked
Intel core i7- 4790s, 16gb ddr3 RAM, MSI GTX 1060 6 GB ddr5.

Sorry, Ive forgot to mention that i used realtime and then also F4 for baked . I tried static lights but nothing has changed ... :/

Ok Lee ,
I found my problem the other day
with the map stalling and all is running GREAT now.
The load time and save times are wayyyy faster now and the game load to play
times is also wayyy faster,,,,,,welll DONE,,,,,,
The new lighting additions are great too and make the scenes much,,,,,livelier.

The only problem ( I think ) is that in the EBE the WALL segment ( object model ) does not seem to be properly
centered on its axis and so when using it in one level and then adding a second level above , if you happen
to do it in the opposite direction ( segment spun 180 degrees ) then there will be a very noticeable misalignment gap.
Am I correct in this >>. Is it done on purpose for some reason >>??? Or is it just happening to me ?

Thatts done on purpose so you can create internal and external walls using the same prefab, watch lees video, he explains it there.

When you create just keep your walls on the inside or outside of the of the floor ...
Its just a simple press "R" to rotate ....

Is anyone else having issues with framerates plummeting with this update?

What's happening is i will run a test game and get 160fps (just numbers as an example not the real numbers), then escape out, and load the test game, and it will be 100fps, then if i do it again it will drop down to 70fps, then down to 30fps, until eventually it's impossible to play.

Now i expect a drop the first time, or if i change something, but it never used to do this (at least not this quickly, there was always a small drop over time used etc) until the latest live build.

Initially i thought it was my map, so i closed down GameGuru and tried a blank map to see if it would happen there, i got exactly the same results, every time i loaded the test game up (with no changes) my fps dropped by a considerable amount until it was unplayable.

Lee is looking at the flat shaded look after lightmapping.

Did you set your light to static before lightmapping ?

You will not get any directional shadows as everything is one big shadow, try to remove one of your ceiling tiles to see some directional light/shadows coming into your building

I'm also getting issues with static lights, i put a light down, make it static, then run test, in text i hit F3, when it's done, nothing, no light at all, i've tried adjusting surface level and bloom, but nothing.

I tried quickly with V1.141 preview and it seems it lights entities but not the terrain. Just want this confirmed before I look deeper, thanks.

Im having the same issue as Belidos. I make light static with value 1500 and hit F3. But scene is always dark ... I must add dynamic lights then, because without them there are no other lights. :/

From what i remember playing around last night, it seemed to light all surfaces except the horizontal plane below. So for example if it was in a room it lit the walls and the ceiling, but not the floor.

Can we assume we all have the Public release shaders ?
If not it could cause all sorts of confusion for Lee ..

I have noticed though that static lights wash away the shadows that are already there ...
Like you can see at the base of your house below the window ..

Exactly what I thought originally .... But it would normally do this to a much wider area and that just seems to precise...

Sorrow ... It's true, I find no shadows in the interiors of EBE ... but neither in other interiors. I thought it was my assets bug, but I do not see shadows on the "Asylum" level that is delivered with the engine ... I did not realize ... Is there no shadows indoors?
The game is a serious thing (El juego es una cosa seria)

Belidos: Tried to downgrade to 1.14 , and shadows from static lights did also work for me on that version.

I guess you have your shadow slider at 50 to improve realtime blur , terrain light map shadows/light still follow shadow slider , so 50 would make them invisible on terrain , i will * 2 on terrain shadow strength tomorrow so it follow the new blur setup
