I can give you a pretty brief one. Any longer would be a waste of electronic ink: File>New Random Level. Hope that helps!

You can even do it with one click of the mouse. Click the blue icon in the top left corner of the screen (the icon with the orange cube and asterisk).

Is there any way to create a random level with pre-sellected entities on it? For example is there a way to select a couple of trees and some bushes and create a randomly generated level populated with those selected entities?

No the terrain is created first .... Then you place your assets ..

While you cant get randomly populated maps with trees, you can use the spray tool to spray random trees of different heights and rotations.
- Select a tree
- press I
- increase the scale by pressing +
Then you can spray random trees on your map.

Oh I think you mean you want the level to load in the game for the user and it auto random generate everything on it on the fly for them when playing the game?
Still learning LUA but 'attempting' to build my first game

You could try the script from this thread. Places trees or bushes randomly across the terrain once game runs. Might help.
