I run hundrest of test different objects lights scenes setup.ini settings all the times when you bake the lights the static entityes became flat shadet. That needs imidiate attention.
while the object seems prety smooth.
The main thing it seems to be the specular.
This is literaly ties my hands i cant bake it destoes my level need advice.
instead of entyty_basic.fx is there any other shader to work with static entityes?

I'm sure they'll get right on it. Would 10 am GMT work for you?

You have already made a post of this exact same issue, in which Lee the developer has responded, please do not make multiple posts about the same subject, it's a sure fire way to get yourself some vacation time from the forum.

Also, i'm no having an issue with lightmapping breaking smooth shading (neither is anyone in that other thread), it seems to be working fine for me.

OK I've found the problem, 1000 specular on entity, 50 global specular slider, F3 light mapped.

However, if you go back into the editor and scale the objkect up a little then back to its normal size, then run test again the bake you made fixes it, it just breaks again if you bake again.

I have a feeling this is related to the specular issue where baking also breaks animations.

If you scale the object automaticaly is free from the bake thats why returning to normal.if you have static lights and then scale you will see the static lights dont effect any more the object. Its clearly a lightmapper issue that needs attention becouse it ruins the scenes specialy if you have dynamic lights on the scene that cast specular.

Please send me the red ball model so I can reproduce the "1000 specular on entity, 50 global specular slider, F3 light mapped" issue, thanks!

I'll have to remake the model, but i'll sort it out tonight and send you it in an email, with the other issues about animations breaking when specular is used.
