I'm messing about importing model and trying to find a workflow
I have some spheres I made for a Phantasm website and I thought it might be cool to get the blades animated
The problem I have is I baked the textures in C4D, in 3 different render engines the model renders fine but in GG I'm getting seams which disappear as the camera gets closer
Maybe if I blur the texture map or re bake with an extra pixel over, I just thought I'd ask first
the image isn't showing for some reason

I am going to guess that this is a normal map issue. Did you bake the textures at different sizes perhaps?

Probably will need to rebake them. What are the other 2 programs you did this in?

The original model was Sketchup, baked in C4D then Truespace exported from there as a X file
There's no normal map, its supposed to be a smooth sphere
I'll have a play with the bake settings , its just strange the lines disapear the closer you get

I've similar issue times ago, with model coming from max, anyway nor max or gg issue, but my fault, I had missed some model hidden, so GG show me it from time to time, depending of the angle of view.
Whe you import model from max to X file, if you've ticked export hidden items, so you'll get the issue.

Does you try importing from Fragmotion?
Does you try Mender?

If you would like to email them to me myke1net at hotmail.com

I can take a look and see. Might be the way your sphere was unwrapped.

I think your probably right Pirate Myke I think its how C4D's unwrapped it, I think its probably a bit to over complicated, it was never ment to be in a game
I'll have another go with a simpler sphere, if it still does it I'll post an example
Thanks
3com; me and Fragmotion don't get on lol I tried all of yesterday and achieved nothing
