Ok, so my system meets the minimum requirements as you can see and hence Game Guru is extremely slow on my PC. I was asking if there is anyway or an option to lower the graphics quality for Game Guru 3D Resources (Terrain, Models, ... etc.) I am planning to upgrade my PC majorly but this will not happen in the near future and I want to start learning and practicing for Game Guru from now.

Also, some off-topic questions :

1) Can I re-use the old FPS Creator Classic entities and resources into Game Guru?

2) It may be irrelevant but I need it: Can I make TERRAINS and OUTDOOR WORLD in FPS Creator Classic?

Thank you and any help would be appreciated

Please, no rude comments or accusations ... you really don't know what I'm going through LOL I am a newcomer here

Your machine specifications are not listed. Could you please list them.
Thanks.

When you run test game press (Tab tab).
You will see in the bottom center the shaders section. Set them all to low. Terrain, entities, and grass.

As for your questions:
You can use FPSC classic entities in Game Guru. You will need to convert the FPE file to Game Guru Format. They will not work out of the box. There are multiple threads with classic entities converted already and how to do it.

FPSC Classic is more for interior shooters. The terrain segments only come in 100 x 100 parts. Some outdoor pieces were made, but 400 x 400 map size is not very big for this.

Drop your screen resolution right down before you start GG, this will really help and then you can swap it back up later to get a feel for the end users view later.
Obviously there are also many things in the tab, tab sliders that will help as mentioned but mostly just turn off anything like bloom and set everything to lowest.
Also if you are making a dark scene then you can try get away with reducing the camera distance right down too (it'll clip objects badly but "can" work with heavy fog)

Another option is hidden in the setup.INI in which you can set to reduce the texture size of all objects (can't remember the exact name but it will also help quite a lot).

Obviously these are extremes but they will vastly improve your frame rates while developing (and you can just turn whatever you want back up again for the final build).

Setup.ini line which smallg mentions is:

dividetexturesize=1

change =1 to =2 or bigger and textures reduced by that amount..
=1 is original texture.. let say 1024x1024
=2 is reduced texture .. 512x512
=3 and so on..

But I can see that the entity files for FPSC Classic and Game Guru are the same extension (.FBE) .. Why should I convert them?

Also, is there any good PDF text manual for Game Guru like the one with FPSC Classic? I am really confused

Because there are different shaders used now, Textures are in the same folder as the models now. Script calls are in Lua not FPI.

Biggest reason is the classic FPE file wont be compatible until you fix it.

Check out the expansion pack FPE files and compare them to the classic ones and you will see the differences.
In the Game Guru/docs folder are the documents you are looking for.

Hopes this helps more.

I have a demo up currently in my WIP which people have been having decent FPS rates if you want to test it. Just to see what sort of performance is possible in GG (at least as far as it goes, I have a way to go to finish it).

https://forum.game-guru.com/thread/216180

There are several threads regarding performance here that will help you speed up your own games as well. You won't get incredible performance out of the box so to speak, but a little tweaking of settings can make a big difference and of course, if your willing to spend the time and effort, more can be done to speed things up.

There are no tutorials ... Just how to import models and LUA scripting (which is pretty useless) ... I am talking about dealing with editor ... I mean everything ... all the features. All the tutorials are video, I am looking for text ones 'cause I am not an English Speaker and sometimes the guy in the video says stuff I can't figure out

What version are you using ? It should be the bottom one in the help menu ?
Even if the manual is missing it should still be in the menu ...

I want an honest answer here and please don't start judging me ... one last question for this thread:

Other than the graphics quality ,LUA Scripting and terrain editing .... is Game Guru much better than FPS Creator Classic? Like is there a true revolutionary change? I have been using FPSC Classic for long and I want to move on to Game Guru ... but it may costly for me for various reason ... so I want an answer ...

Game-Guru has a MUCH larger map overall. Also the terrain editing feature is leaps and bounds beyond anything you can do with FPSC Creator Classic in regards to building an outdoor world.

There still however several features in FPSC Classic not yet in Game-Guru, but hopefully someday.

Does that mean you don't actually own the latest retail version of GameGuru ?
That's probably why the Manual is missing if its an older version ?
