It seems the security scan of the terrain before the mission planning briefing failed to identify areas of local ambush locations.
Just a short walk thru of additional game area. I should continue working on this .. although I may be too hung up on graphics rather then game play at the moment.
I need to find a better way to handle character AI sometime in the future.
