Still have plans for this Puzzler I'm playing with but trying to get the feel right for levels
Thought I would see what you think about the look and style of this ?
Expanding the ruins on the fly really .. Chopping this adding that sort of thing .. Still lots to do

this looks like a pretty sick idea. I'm glad to see a quality branch-out from the FPS genre. I hope to see more variance in scenery. designing for this point of view must be a whole different animal

With the iso view, the GG gfx looks really nice
Old school FPS fan, DOOM!!! Why GG not working on my AMIGA 500?

Looking pretty good so far. I wish that a little more had been put into 3rd person stuff. A few different weapon types would have been nice rather than the lone fireball we got. Perhaps a couple more characters as well, plus a smattering of extra lua commands . I hope the recent Twitch doesn't mean we will not be getting any extra characters and such now. Just because there's an element in the Steam community who hate DLC for the sake of it, those of us who want it are quite willing to buy any that takes our interest. I mean why do people moan about an optional purchase? Anyway, went on a tangent there, lol.

I like the look of this, looks good even though you haven't really put loads down on the map. Looks fairly smooth as well, which is always good.

Looks very good. I think for iso games it should be possible to make walls (and roofs) transparent if they are between player and camera?

Thanks Guys ..
To be honest the idea of the ruins and kind of old English look popped in my head in the morning and this was what I had in the afternoon so yes its very small but as I'm no great modeller but ok with sketchup as long as nobody said " Hate the look and the models " I figured I could expand on this ...

This isn't the only level in progress but sometimes you get side tracked with an idea and wander off ... But that's game creation for you

I hope you don't think I was calling your level small. I only meant that it looked good even without the scene bursting with objects

I agree, the graphics looked good which is one of the first things I noticed about it, obviously a little bit of distance does some good.

Oh god no It is very small ... Just the look with those models was all I was checking.... The next one will be more like what to expect ..

Yes Isometric view hides a lot of sins ...you can get away with a lot of detail you would want to see in First person..
In fact in first person it looks rubbish You do have to design differently to first person ..Its all about the view angle..

Agreed. My Easter game looked awesome from the side perspective, but would have looked a total mess from a first person perspective.

At first flinch I personally don't like these ISO style approaches but yours is looking really great. Maybe you'll change my mindset

Cheers.

the camera movement hurts, a fixed camera would be much nicer?
