Hello,
Could someone clear up the following for me regarding required "
SUPPORT FILES" for a GG STAND ALONE game builds.
A) GG produces a "Standalone" game as 32 bit. This is good because it targets the most Windows Systems.
From let us say Windows XP 32/64 bit -----------> New Windows 10 32/64bit
After you create your standalone. Is it the best practice to: .....(AS IN GETTING THE LEAST Stand Alone GG Game run Failures to:
1)
Include DirectX9c (This would obviously seem to be yes.) Specifically, the
June2010 build. (BUT: Full 32/64 bit install? or Just 32 bit files?)
2) Should a user given a "STAND ALONE GG GAME" also need to install: "vcredist" (Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package) (ALSO 32/64bit).
Version 2010, 2012 or both? 32/64bit?
Currently , one Windows 10 users is reporting a stand alone GG games does not run when provided ONLY with DIRECTX9c. (Anyone else having issues?) Is this because (Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package) 2010/2012 is not "native" in Windows 10?
#2 seems to be necessary for the GG ENGINE Software itself, but like I am trying to understand is Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package 2010/2012 required for the actual GG Standalone compiled game. From Windows builds:
Windows XP 32/64 bit -----------> Windows 10 32/64bit?
Thanks,
