Hello everyone. Before I go into this topic, this is not me who wants this work done, it is one of my good friends, who says that he needs it for a film series. The reason I am putting it here is because he wants me to spread this as best as I could, but all the other forums I am on are kinda dead, he also does not have an account here, and does not have any interest in making one.

So, my friend has sent me a text file of lines that he wants people to voice act (well, all the lines are the same character, so I guess this is a one person job), record them with Audacity, and send it to him. I have barely read the lines, so I don't really know what it is about. He did tell me that he wants lines 3-4 in a more panicked tone of voice (I have not read those lines), and he said that it would be nice if they were all in different audio files, but they do not need to be. I do not know if it is paid work, but that is up to him. So, if anyone is up for it, just download the file, and do whatever.

If there are any questions, ask them before doing the lines.

Doin' a found footage film akin to the movie "Afflicted" are we?

Well, I'd not be of much use because I have an odd german accent. Allow me to state that I'm pretty sure that cancer is not an infection. Infections can lead to cancer but nobody gets "infected with cancer".

Cancer's a genetic disease caused by an uncontrolled division of abnormal cells in a part of the body leading to malignant growths or tumors.

Oh, well, I did not read much of the script, so I most likely did not notice that. Will tell him about it though (Also, something I forgot to mention in the original post, he does not really care about accents)

Well, it seems like nobody really wants to voice it here. But I have a question, does anybody know a good place to ask?

I know a brilliant voice guy. I'll send him the link to this thread but can't guarantee he'll be up for it.

If you fail to find someone to do it for your friend, direct them to https://www.fiverr.com/, you can choose from a large number of voice actors there and the prices are very reasonable. It will never truly be just $5 as they charge per chunk of words and charge more for faster delivery, but, I use these at work for video voice overs and they are always great.

I haven't looked at the script, so, don't know the word count. We normally pay around $40 for a medium script (400-500 words)

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Jay.

Thanks for that link, unfamilia, I didn't even know there were people that did that outside of big studios. Prices really do look reasonable as well.
