Dead Evil

here it is my first gameguru game after months of waiting for guru to have something I can work with I finally came up with something worth showing off. This game is a horror 3rd person shooter that is optimize to run on most PC's. This game will feature some tree batching and make use of the Xbox controller.

sub story: you play as a soldier who will be well equip to take on zombies and all types of monsters.

I will reveal more about this game later for now enjoy the pics and video.

Hey MXS!

Really cool innovative project you got going.
A few things I noticed: enemies seem to freeze once you shoot at them and not resume the attack? They seem very apathetic in general :/

I like the atmosphere but I find the visibility a bit too limited. Some sounds where repetitive after a while too.

All in all I salute you for tackeling something like this. You and synchromesh are really pioneering the genre here.

Try slanting the ambience setting slightly towards blue and the surface level slightly towards red. That should give your look a bit more brilliance n'all.

@granada Thanks. trying to that smooth gameplay for the controller use.

@Wolf thanks for the tips. I been working on the AI scripts to what could be done which why this project been going at slow peace. last night I just figure out something that may change that. also I am happy to say the next level will not be so foggy but there is a reason for how the game is made this way. you will be able to run this game on a out dated dual core and 9800 gtx graphic card and still get over 60 fps. this is without using occlusion. there is some key points here about why I choose such a limited view. I decide to work with guru and it's limits to make the best of what could be a fun game. being the voting board is in for a change I will not be seeing the other features need for 3rd person so I am really pushing the limits on this game and working around it all to make it playable for all pc use. plus graphic is not going to be this game made focus and you already prove that guru can do great graphic at it's stage of development. I want to prove it's not cpu bound and you can make games with this engine that can run on a out dated gpu.
