Hi guys, not sure if this has been covered before.

Can you change the system core prompt location as I need it in a different location. What I mean is, the default text that comes up when you come to a door, weapon, object, ect.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Nope, it's hard coded, you can use the text command instead to place text at a different location,

Text(X position %,Y position %,text size 1 to 7,"actual text") ----- puts your text starting at the X Y coordinates and in the size you specify

TextCenterOnX(X position %,Y position %,text size 1 to 7,"actual text") -----puts your text cantered at the X Y coordinates and in the size you specify

TextColor(X position %,Y position %,text size 1 to 7,"actual text",red, green, blue) ----- puts your text starting at the X Y coordinates and in the size you specify in the colors specified at the end (ie pure red would be 250,0,0 etc.

TextCenterOnXColor(X position %,Y position %,text size 1 to 7,"actual text",red, green, blue) ----- puts your text cantered at the X Y coordinates and in the size you specify in the colors specified at the end (ie pure red would be 250,0,0 etc.)

To expand on what belidos said the prompts can be moved by modification of the scripts relating to said doors and weapon pick ups and such.

Oh I also forgot, there is one way to move prompts, but only to a fixed location..

PromptLocal(e,"text")

This will place the prompt text at the origin point of the entity it is on.

Thanks guys, I know about the other text option but I just mean the hard coded option.
I know Lee B wants to make a lot editable by lua. Maybe this would be a good option to have in a new update of GG.
What do you guys think?

What would the point? The text command does almost everything the prompt command can, in fact more, and better, and you can have as many lines on screen as you want. The only thing the prompt has that the text command doesnt is the inbuilt timer, but you can use LUA timers. Would probably be better for Lee to add more features to the text command rather than add stuff to the prompt command.
