Hello everyone. Today I have a problem, it is not a problem I am having issues with, but my friend. He is making a game on GameGuru, and when he saved the game as a standalone, when there is a level that has a weapon, it transitions to levels that it should not be on. I don't know it this is a bug, but he believes it is. He did not make a post himself on here, because he said that he does not want to make an account on here. So I am wondering if there is a fix, or an option for the weapons to not transition. Any response will be greatly appreciated.

Its not a bug, they're supposed to now that the save system is in place any weapons and ammo will carry over to the next level(s).
To remove them simply use a script with RemovePlayerWeapons(e) at the start of the game (destroy it right after)

Huh, is there a download for a script like that? Because I am not good at scripting, and neither is my friend.

I think this should work:

Put it into a dynamic, always active entity.

i5, NV960 2GB, 16GB memory, 2x 2TB Hybrid, Win10.
i3 , Intel integrated graphics, 6GB memory, 512GB Generic SATAIII Win8.1.
Intel Celeron (duel Core), Radeon integrated graphics, 4GB memory, 180gB Generic SATAII, WinVista.
Q6600, Intel integrated graphics, 8GB memory, 512GB Generic SATAII, Win7.

I must be doing something wrong, I will list the steps I did, and can you please tell me what I did wrong? (In my opinion, I think it is how I got the script.)

So I copied the script that you posted above into a LUA file of my own, then I put the script on a barrel in the level I did not want the weapons in (I set it to always active), and in standalone, I still have the weapons.
Can you please tell me what I did wrong?

I'm not sure really, I just wrote the script quick based on small's reply, whether it works or not I haven't tested yet

1. did you name it removeweapons.lua ?
2. did you make the barrel static = no ?

Edit: I've now tested it, and it worked, but not exactly how you would want, so I've changed it a bit, here's the new script (also attached)

Place it in a barrel with the following settings:

i5, NV960 2GB, 16GB memory, 2x 2TB Hybrid, Win10.
i3 , Intel integrated graphics, 6GB memory, 512GB Generic SATAIII Win8.1.
Intel Celeron (duel Core), Radeon integrated graphics, 4GB memory, 180gB Generic SATAII, WinVista.
Q6600, Intel integrated graphics, 8GB memory, 512GB Generic SATAII, Win7.

No problem, glad it worked out for you

It's quite funny to be honest, ironic even, for a very long time we have been petitioning Lee as a community to have weapons transfer maps, recently he managed to get it done, and right away someone wants a script to undo it LOL!

I think the first one would have been fine as long as near the start marker but not if always active as that means it'll still be running the script after it's destroyed.

And yh but that's the good thing about scripting, we get to do it the way we want, at least this way is much quicker and easier than trying to code our own save system

The problem with the first one was after removing the weapon it kept removing the weapon when I picked up a new one lol, and for some reason it just didn't work if I turned off always active, no idea why
