I am not sure if this has been suggested before I done a search and couldn't find it, when working on levels etc I dont know about you but I often forget to save often so could there be a way of adding a prompt that reminds you to save your work if you havent done so for say 15 mins (maybe make it so the user can disable this if they find it annoying or don't want it).. Feel free to pooh pooh the idea but myself personally would find it a great reminder to save often

You could use Smallg's auto-save script to automatically save your game into slot 8.

The one he's posted is for winzones, however, you could just add it to multiple trigger zones and place them at key points in your level.

He's talking about saving the editor, not the worst idea but I think we're past the worst part for needing this as GG doesn't crash half as often as it used to.
A save prompt when you click to test game would be a nice addition but its not really needed, if you've watched any of the twitches you will see that Lee saves every time as he's just got into that good habit and I think this is why it never really got added - Lee never really needed it.

If this was ever to be an option. I would want to turn it off as it will pop-up just as you move a light source or flame into position, etc. I would hate that.

If it was design to prompt before going into test mode. It would slow down access to the test game too. Sometimes you are working on assets / design so GG won't crash as this really only happens on lua scripting. Like forgetting the "then" in "if" statements lol.
