I have set the Bikini Girl for 3rd person for those who might want this.

drop the fpe files in the classic folder where the Bikini Girl x file is then drag and drop the unarmed folder into gamecore\guns\fantasy folder. that it. all classic characters and zombies can be use in 3rd person mode. they will use less draw calls than the character creator characters. because they use one mesh and texture. something to think about when using character creator.

character creator 5 draw calls
classic character 1 without weapon 2 with weapon.

I'll take a look I've since got my effort walking and running around okay, but not looked at why she insists on having a gun to dance around by her feet instead of the usual handbag

Changed the gun to your unarmed script and works a treat, apart from the derpy run she has. Why the author decided to animate the arms like that I will never know. The one side is great, but the other looks like she has issues, possibly a stroke victim. Considering the great walking anim, it really lets it down

yeah sometimes you got to make do what are given. also Bond1 is the creator of this character. I think this was his beginners days.lol but he has improve over time. also the hit animation is not the full animation. the animation is the grenade throw I had to improvise to make it look like she is attacking with her right instead of throwing with her left. like said got to make do. also remember this fpsc default animation so it have it's limits.

I'm interested about AIKO5, I was testing right now as 3rd person, but I was noticed she using melee system, and the modern\Shotgun is between their legs and a terrain level, anyway she does the pose as soldier does, but use melee when LMB, and the weapon also shoot, but being a terrain level obviusly does nothing to the enemy.

I remember something about changing offset, but can't remember exactly what it is; do not deal with chars often, so I have not idea.

Can someone gives me some clue?

Thanks in advance

Ah, bought loads of his stuff over the years. His models were always something special. Best characters available for FPSC. I got them for DB, wasn't a big fan of FPSC at the time, I much preferred DB's blank canvas. These days, I prefer to concentrate on the game, rather than the underlying code to make a game, but I flit between GG, AGK, and Gamemaker Pro on occasion. I recently had a week or at least a few days with Unreal I've also dallied with Unity but not for some years.

Now I've had success with this, I'm thinking of re-attempting a custom model if I can rig a Blender model and get it in GG with animations, it will quite the moment It's never been an issue in the past with DB and such, but GG has always beaten me in this area. Much to my disgust, lol.

@ 3com. Try adding the unarmed folder MXS has provided and change the gun to it in the FPE. That should rid you of the gun dragging between your legs. Although, when I say it like that it sounds just wrong...

Yah! I thought the same when I see the shotgun, between their legs. LOL

I'll give a try tomorrow night, thanks a lot for the useful tip.

The enemies are laughing at my expense, when they see the gun between my legs.

@3com I will set this up for you. it seems to use the guru default animation. I can do this two ways use the model as is in guru or use the fpsc version that use fpsc animation. I will have them up on my next post.

@3com ok here you go. just make a copy of the shotgun folder and name it shotgun2 then delete the old crosshair and add the crosshair I have in aiko5 folder to shotgun2 folder. drag and drop aiko5 folder anywhere you like. I use the fpscx10 aiko x instead that one that is in guru it is buggy and I was not going to waste more time on why.lol also set the offset x to -8 in the editor.

The more I see all this third person stuff the more I want it officially implemented.
I hope you don't mind me posting this here but as it was already third person chat.
Something I had in mind as my own style of Saboteur Game
Just a very very quick concept but could be so much fun ..

@3com you are welcome. always glad to help.

@seppgirty keep dreaming buddy.lol but truthfully this is not far from that. if Lee could sneak in a couple things for me I could push this further without much need for it to be a complete code of it. I would be able to give you guys bullet, arrow and laser projectiles.

@synchromesh no I don't mind. I want you and everyone else to to be influence to use this. I myself am making games using this method. one will be a horror game , a scifi game and a platform game. there is a big advantage to using this mod which is performance. right now I'm making up my own tree batching system where I can get 2 draw calls from six trees. what you guys are about to see may change the way everyone look and talk about guru. also you demo there cold be the next metal gear. just think let your mind out side the box this maybe a type of game you could sell.

@Wolf yes I agree with you he should because I am. this for me is a new of game play. no I don't feel this a hijack thats why I open this thread to DVader and anyone else who is interested in this. also you should check out my other thread this nothing compare to what I have show off before.

here is a pic of what I'm what I'm working on. it may not look like much but what until you play it. I want to motivate a new style of game play with guru. also yes in the one pic the robots are shooting blue laser projectiles at me.

Oh I remember that guy... He has laser fire ..... No idea where you got the character but he looked incredible ..

Your original demo of him was very impressive ... I can only imagine how it all looks and plays in a Sci-Fi scenario..
One to look forward to

Finally today takes the time to test Aiko5.

1- Noticed there aren't reload anims.
2- Does not shoot when running - (ignore if it's normal behavior) -- with (1 and 2) maybe using "soldier.lua" instead of "neutral.lua", before attaching aiko to 3rd person can change things, do not tried yet.
3- crosshair is a left side of Aiko, instead of front of her. I was playing with "Offset_x", but only zooms in or out.

Afaik that "Offset_x" goes to prevents the player injures himself.
I think perhaps some sort of "Offset_z" might help, since cross hair should be placed in front of player, so player do not hurt, and we do not need to touch "Offset_x", due this make hardest to kill enemies.

Yah! a lot work 3rd person need yet.

Thanks again for sharing mate!
