Sounds good, maybe 20 is a little large but 10 would be good. Have you tried this on multiplayer levels yet?
Taking it to a higher level, if possible; you could make some spawn to another level. What i mean is let's say you make 15 of these. The first 10 are for the current level and the extra 5 will spawn you to another level. This could be random or set. The idea would be it could take you back a level or two based on how many times you die. It's like a penalty for being a crap player and you are not ready for the current level lol. This could be a lot of fun for some
All could be done with global variables to keep track. I think this could create a whole need depth to your game(s).
