I kinda have a working torpedo here but need it to explode when it contacts the player......Using ai_Demon.lua and this FPE:

any help is surely appreciated

Here you go m8 file includes .X, .obj, .3ds, icon, texture and the fpe so should be able to edit or use to your liking if you want me to put fins on it etc just let me know just a thought on the scripting maybe you could adapt the proxy mine script to work?

This is something i started working on a little while ago, and never finished, might finish it up and post it here.

(the propeller is animated)

you can't really make an object explode multiple times yet so you either have to;
- fake it with sounds and decals (less models needed as you can reuse everything but will require custom scripts to set up)
OR
- place as many torpedoes as you'll need for the entire level and use them as needed with the explodable = yes setting (would work ok for limited stock but i assume not so in this case)
OR
- rework the RPG to fire torpedoes (likely the best option but no personal experience on this one)

Hi smallg, maybe this could be an update to GG to allow entities to explode but not remove from level just able to move and re-use until you need them to be deleted from the level. That should keep the count down and raise the FTP. It's all FX anyway

You write a lot of great scripts and there very helpful ! My biggest problem in FPSC & GG is trying to use non "ischaracter = 1" entitys such as robots/mech's/tanks that don't need much animation like limbs and wings ! I'm just saying a "smart-bullet" type script that can be attached and/or triggered would be very helpful to many! .....even something that trigger's the RPG rocket to strike the player without there being an entity behind or even the RPG weapon! In other words....player steps on triggerzone and BOOM!!! Here come's the thunder ....That's just me thinking out of the box
