Taking Bolt Action Gamings advice, I added the smoke emitter code to the lua and its so much cooler now. Looks like hes burning the ground as he moves. Re- uploaded the zip with the updated LUA. So re-download if you want the smoke effect.

So I tested it out, works great! Navigates obstacles like a champ.

interesting side note if you modify the lua code and insert StartParticleEmitter(e) in the init and StopParticleEmitter(e) in the death portion you get a nice little smoke cloud to follow him around.

Nice that sounds cool. Ya I really wish i could do a fire decal over top of the texture. would really make him into a fire elemental. Glad you like him.

One thing that I dont like and I dont know why it isnt working, is the eyes dont glow even though there set to white in the _I map. Another thing I dont like, I guess its a GG bug, is the normal map vanishes some times.

P.S ya he chases ya like a mad demon. I guess the fantasy lua has better AI. He turns well goes around things fast etc. Be a great monster to chase ya around in a maze. My next quest is to get him to shoot fire from his hands. So he keep an ye out.

Looking good, maybe on an update you could add the dust into flames. Still liking it tho

Should be in the updated zipped LUA unless it didnt replace like it was suppose to.

Nice Elemental

You could try the "Vertex Fur 2" shader from this thread https://forum.game-guru.com/thread/216005 with it and a pretty cool orange/red glow then surrounds the character too - lose some of the detail but playing around with the shader tweakables may get something even better.

If we had scriptable alt textures (or even just a spare variable to pass a value from lua to fx shader via the engine) characters like these would come alive as could tweak the intensity of flames based on health, proximity, whatever.

Soo love this entity had to play with it couldnt help myself lol so i did an ice, storm, and dark elemental and a shadow for Vcity cheers Jackalhead good fun this one

Nice Honk, Ya I myself was thinking of making an ice and shadow version of him, but got side tracked on my goblin. Looks good I like it.
