Hello everyone from Spain!

I'm new here and I started with Game Guru a week ago.
These are my first problems/bugs just start with learning

When I press F1 to see shortcut keys in edit mode, the editor responds with nothing, just a blue screen and the application it seems to be unresponsive for a few seconds.

After

Other bug

When I'm editing a map, +/- keys (increase / decrease range) do not work for me. Pressing any of these keys the answer is very very slow, almost imperceptible.
Very frustrating my first contact with Game Guru in which he had put many expectations, I can't work with the editor in comfort. I can't increase or even reducing overall range.

Any idea why this may be happening?

Please, fix it !!

Thanks in advance

My system specs

GG version 1.131

When the shortcuts stop working, try pressing the numlock button, numlock disables most of the shortcut keys in GG.

Thanks Belidos
I tried it with Num Lock on/off with the same result.
Keyboard shortcuts don't work.
There is another way to increase / decrease the range?

Scroll button on mouse

Edit: looking at your picture, you are in free flight mode, I don't think +/- works in free flight mode. Try pressing G to put it onto overhead view.

In free flight or top view mode (G) don't work
I try fix it uninstalling/installing GG again but problem persist

In runtime, 3D edition (F9), the keyboard shortcuts works fine +/- inclusive without input lag
In app editor, keyboard shortcuts has a input lag of 4/5 secs, for example trying to rotate entity (CTRL+R).
Keyboard shortcuts +/- don't work at all.
Awaiting for a fix / solution, i will test in other computer

In the setup.ini file in the Game guru root folder, open in notepad exe while Game guru is shut down and locate this line:
fulldebugview=0

Change to:
fulldebugview=1
Save file and restart Game guru.

This will show the keyboard codes as you press keys.
Please press all the keys that are giving you trouble. If possible would be best to use vid capture while doing this.
This will also allow support to see what the ascii codes are coming from your keyboard.
Mine did not work like your for a long time, then in April we received and update and now my keyboard is fine. (mostly - and + on mine and the raise and lower camera [,],\ controls.)

This should give us a clue as to what is going on.

After recording the video then you can change the statement back in the setup.ini file.

Thanks

Hi,

Finally, keyboard issue is not longer a problem
Unplug and plug the keyboard with open map editor
It sounds weird, but it worked
Thank you all

Great to hear.

So this is a usb keyboard and unplugging and plugging it back in made it right?
If so then sounds like Lee might need to take a closer look at the effects of usb keyboards staying in sync while using Game Guru editor.

Thanks for reporting back.

What make and model keyboard do you have? What layout is it (ie UK, US, FR etc)?

USB keyboards are pretty much the standard today, there's very few people that still use ps/2 keyboards any more, so if it was an issue with USB keyboards it would be a more prevalent issue, it may be an issue with your specific make and model or layout, or a driver issue, or even a physical fault with your keyboard.

Awesome, now we have some more detail, Lee will be able to look into it and see if there's something he can do at the software level to stop it happening again, thanks.
