Hey all, started this thread to showcase any sci-fi models and media I plan to put in the store, rather than open a thread for each item separately.

So first up is Deep Space Scanner.

This large sci-fi gadget come in two models one static and the same again with animations.

The image depicts a deep space scanning process, the animated version having progress bars and a scanner thingy.

The textures are all 2048 for nice clarity, but can be scaled down if you want. And of course it is relatively easy to change the screen image to something you can cook up.

Both models share the same texture set, which has _D _N _S and _I maps.

Here be an image:

And her be a video:

When approved these will be added to my Sci-Fi Gadgets Pack, but of course the pack price will go up a tad!

Hey all

Working on another space craft for the store - Shuttle T-71, a transport shuttle for small away teams.

Here be a few pics.

Three models make up Shuttle T-71
Sharing a 2048 map (_D, _I, _N, and _S):
- Shuttle_T71
- Shuttle_T71_Doors - these are animated to slide open like lift doors

Using a 512 map with transparency:
- Shuttle_T71_glass

All parts are easy placed using grid mode.

May add more detail to the interior yet, but the poly count is getting up around 4300 so.....
When I make the audio for open and close sequence of doors (hopefully tonight) I will make a video.

What do you think people?

Hi all

Time for a new ship

Haven't settled on a name for it yet, but it is ready enough to show some progress on my latest space craft project.

Not happy with back end yet, not settled on the coulor-scheme yet, and still to add landing gear. Will also be doing version for use with a cock pit and animated canopy, which will be three separate models.

There will be two versions one with and one with out a cubemap, The cube map at present is gray scale, and used to add gloss to the craft.

Some pics:

Lol - thanks for the feedback @Belidos.

When It is a bit more complete I will make a video, the screenshots don't show it much, but the cube maps take models to a whole new level!

These ships look great and I love the insides of them. I might even pinch the way you created the screens / monitors. Which look fantastic.

Hi all

It is now safe to land!

Today, among other things, saw the relative easy task of providing landing gear. Textures created at 1024, then reduced to 512.

Some pics:

Now back to finishing the main ship and then eager to get onto the cock pit

Hi all

Little bit of progress.

Decided on Stealth Interceptor for the name.

A few revisions:

Played with the back end a bit, added bevel to the tail fins, made the wings thinner, and changed the shape of the thrusters a little.

Been messing with the colours:

Kinda looking stealthy I think:

Feedback welcome

An excellent ship, as well as the platform on which it stands. I'm curious, this platform will be part of a huge spaceship or it's a static parking platform ?

@OldPMan - thanks for the feedback - appreciated.

The platform is part of my SkyPort project - my first attempt at modular stuff - and is meant to be a huge Sky Port or Space Station (which would have hangers instead of platforms) - but haven't done anything to it for a while now. The videos above for the T-71 and the Deep Space Scanner show a bit more of it.

By the way I used this cool app called Normalizator for this ship

Working on a split model with cockpit and animated canopy atm.

Hi all

So finally finalized the Stealth Interceptor and will be in the store upon approval. Here be the store page.

This is a collection comprised of 7 models, four of which are varients of the same ship model.

You have the base model (one entity), or the open model that uses a separate cockpit and an animated canopy for a more detailed scene.

There are also cube mapped versions of both ships to add a little oomph. The cube map used is designed to give a subtle glossy look to the ship, but for a more dramatic composition you can use the cube map that ships with Game Guru or your own cube map of choice.

Here be the store video:

Hi all
Thanks for the kind words GraPhix.

Yeah not played with EBE much myself - busy creating assets for my game - but when I see the results everyone else is producing on the WIP forum I just think I have a long way to go to match them - lol.

Also itching to have a serious play with the new Terrain system, but will probably wait till all 16 textures are available in Test/F9 mode - it is the only way I like painting my levels.

To anyone interested, Stealth Interceptor is in the store now and on sale with my other sci-fi ships till midnight Sunday.

Shuttle T-71

Happy Game making everyone.

Thanks @Pirate Myke. Appreciate the feedback.

Mucking around with Quixel atm, so may use that for the next ship, but having trouble getting it to work properly on my setup for some reason lol.

AWESOME SHIPS!!! GREAT JOB!! I need them all right now. But having trouble signing into the store! AGAIN! I'll keep trying! I have to have all 3 ships. I been working on a sci fi game for a while now. I have to get them to be flyable some how. I been tinkering with smallg's spaceship script. I just keep messing things up. Since I have no clue what I'm doing with Lua scripts. If you know of someone working on a flight script let me know please? I need a script where you can get in and fly one of these babies. And shoot the weapons to. I'll check out some of your other sci fi stuff also. I'm in need of a space station. More sci fi characters, weapons(lasers would be nice). You can't have a sci fi game with out Lasers? I can fake them but it's not the same. Again, Awesome job! I will be purchasing them.

@Blacknyt46, thanks, glad you like them

Been wanting to try and make them flyable, but to be honest I have no idea really where to start for that kind of thing with lua. My guess is maybe using a HUD that mimics being in the ship or something like that - But yeah no idea really - lol.

It will be cool when\if Lee gets to add that kind of thing to the engine, so you can have banking, diving etc.

AmenMoses and Smallg would be the best brains for that atm I would think.
