the "Free Models and Media" section has this text below it:
Quote: "Are you releasing/looking for FREE Models, Music/Sound FX, Modification or Media? This is the place to be."

following this text that you read above (i did not change the capital letters!) i started a thread that i was looking for some media (a boat) and it was locked. i am disappointed and i can't understand this. i have read the new rules (after it was locked) and i don't understand why it had to be changed into this. i mean, read the text i quoted, this becomes a contradiction then when i do what is written there and it gets locked.
i know that a few people did exploit the generosity of the nice people here in a very unpolite way, i have read this but is this a reason to "punish" the people that are really looking for something although they have spent much money in the store already and have already given back something to the community?

i guess it is not violation of the rules when i point out my opinion about this here.

maybe someone can explain this to me, maybe i am wrong and i there is another reason.

We do not allow request threads on the free models board. If you need something you will need to search the threads that already exist to find it, or find a thread created by an artist where they allow you to make free requests.

The rules are fully explained here https://forum.game-guru.com/thread/216148

This is the due to a large number of users demanding free media without respecting artists that tried to provide the media.

Forum rules are unfortunately not for discussion, when a decision is made regarding forum policy it is discussed internally and we will change rules based on our discussions.

We may review if we feel the situation changes, but the current system seems to work well and still allows requests just in threads where artists ask to do them.

i do accept but i'm unhappy with this. especially now that new people are asking the same things again and they do not get closed for this.

I think at the moment with the changes to the store and other areas of TGC's web work, they've just gotten a little behind on checking some of these things, once everything settles down they will be back to monitoring things more closely and locking threads that contravene the rules more quickly.
