As the title says..

I've tried to go into the Clown Zombie script changing the sound0 to the audio i wanted it in .wav format and each time I try to set it and I check back in the clown properties sound0 is always reset with nothing

Any suggestions to solve it?

If the zombie use sound e.g. "Sample-soundzz00.wav" then I would rename my sound file to that name and delete or rename the other one worked fine so far...
Old school FPS fan, DOOM!!! Why GG not working on my AMIGA 500?

Until an update overwrites it :p

That happened to me recently, I made the mistake of just editing default scripts instead of making a copy and editing that, updated and everything went back to default.

Try this ....
Go to the audiobank and copy the Zombie folder .....
Call it zombie2

put your wav file in calling it ..... zombie_groan_male.wav

Click properties on the clown and go to the soundset currently set to .....................audiobank\zombies\zombie_groan_male.wav
Do not browse to your new folder .... Simply edit the text adding the number 2 ....audiobank\zombies2\zombie_groan_male.wav
The same can be done for sound1

I just tried this and it seemed to work ...
And if there is an update you only have to point to the folder again without overwriting your new .wav files
