Obviously not designed to be used like this, but couldn't resist.

I broke my drawing tablet so have to do the whole thing using the mouse but it gives an idea.

I really think the EBE will be awesome once it gets ironed out, this pushed it too much I think and GameGuru crashed when I tried to test the level. No real way to save these prefabs for now, so not going to do anything too major with it just yet, it does all the same have great potential.

Mosaic painting section is 5X speed.

Great seeing an artist at work. Maybe you have done pavement chalk art before ? Novel use of a GG feature.

you've stated something I'm thinking about EBE, "think out the box" could help with EBE.

Quote: " No real way to save these prefabs for now"

Does this meant you can not save any mesh, or just that sort of mesh?

When you make some mesh (building, walls, tunnels, etc) and save it (if possible), does GG automatically generate the binary file?

I've seem in your vid some ebebank, so those files going to be stored there, I though.

Nice painting!, remember Street art.

Perhaps it will be saved as X file, so you can export it to a 3d modeller soft, for fine tune.

Not just yet. As Myke says it is still being worked on. I am guessing collapsing all those little blocks to single mesh with corresponding textures pushed it a bit at this early stage, it's a Beta testers job to break things

One thing I noticed was if 'brush' removing blocks they correspond to the texture applied which was kinda cool.

Hello

Very neat as always, but show us your first building. Or better yet how about maybe making the start of a gas station I know you con't do a lot of detail yet but you might be able to get a shell made. And if your really want a challenge how about a space station with say ten buildings.Maybe even add some of your models or maybe some you have bought.

When you can't save your work, and it can crash at any moment, that would just be wasted time!

@Syncromesh, awesome work and as you state with no way to save and a few bugs (it is Beta after all) then no one should have plans to do anything too ambitious at this point. All the same I know other testers have produced some pretty cool things with it so far and sure users can tell from this that it will be a great tool when completed and fully functional. It really does have great potential.

Thanks Rolfy .... I agree ...The more I use it the more I think can be done ..

Quote: "And if your really want a challenge how about a space station"

Couldn't resist but to go just a little further after the challenge ..... A space station .. Maybe not quite .... But possible ...Yep
I know its only the room really and the rest is detail ...but that's what its all about ...
Once I can save and edit I will do this again with more detail, steps to upper levels ..and this is just 2 of the 16 textures I can use.

I think they were from the old Doom 3 ... Not for commercial use ..
Its a pity I have hundreds I collected from my old mapping days that I can only use for demo's

hello

Thanks synchromesh you nailed it, I just wanted to see what it could do so far and you came through seems like when something new is added and you ask someone to demonstrate it you get a bunch of well we con't do this or that I don't care what you con't do, I just want to see what can be done, after all your beta testers so you shouldn't be afraid to push it after all lee needs to know if it needs fixed. For me so far pretty good, the reason I choose a gas station it would give you inside and out and it would be easy to make and that way its a building you can walk in and out of . But I do like what you did which is more than the other beta testers have done or a least reported so far. thanks.

You seem annoyed by this....bugs are reported in a closed board and testers are under NDA. This was relaxed a little to allow users a glimpse of testers results using the EBE Beta, they are under no obligation to produce examples demanded by you or anyone else around here.

This the second time you have jumped into one of my threads lecturing me on what I should do according to your own interests and some sense of self entitlement please stop doing this

Mods can feel free to lock this thread since I can really do without this. I am not the organ grinders monkey.

hello

lol rolfy didn't know I hurt your feelings I'm just trying to get an idea what could be done with beta after all your the ones that were showing it off. Its not my fault if your so stuck on your self that if some one ask for a little better demo you fall apart and con't handle a little suggestion.I thought your stuff is pretty good but if your going to get all bent out of shape cause I ask for maybe a building with a building maker and have a attitude ,I do what I want and don't ask rolfy for anything cause rolfy is the best and shouldn't be bothered with request or other stuff. I was going to buy some of your stuff well not any more you can keep your high and might ways. And I wont bother your precious blogs any more all hail rolfy king of nothen.
