Try Verifying your installation for any errors via steam ...

Go to your steam library and right click on GameGuru...Select "properties" .....then select "local files" and finally "verify integrity of game cache"

See if that brings anything to light and fixes your issue ...

@synchromesh I wanted to edit this third, with the message: "Edit: I even tried to verify the game, under properties 3 times."

Ok assuming its a USB keyboard I assume it stops moving left if you pull it out ... And starts again when you push it in .
Do you have another keyboard handy you could try ?

To be Honest I have no idea how that's possible but with Windows I guess anything is ...
All I can suggest is clicking the " Green Help" button on the right of the screen which will put you through to customer support.
Not one I have heard of before I'm afraid ..

Any keyboard emulators or gamepads attached/configured? An odd one, for sure! If you play a demo game, does your player move left as well?

At first I thought "sticky keys" enabled, because I've seen it do strange things, but I just tried it here and it's ok.

I just gotta ask: Why on earth would you want to use your phone as a PC keyboard?

Somehow I think this might be related .....
It is weird though .... Imagine typing in some LUA Scripting and ending up on a Chatline
