Ok so you know with my love of all things sci-fi this one was coming. It took a LOT longer to rig up and tweak to make function.

My original idea sadly didn't work because of the way that GG layers the terrain, something that becomes VERY pronounced in the wrong circumstances, unfortunately.

Here's some of the requisite pics:

This one is priced a little higher because of the many hours it took to get rigged. I'm *VERY* satisfied with the results though and you should be too

The black area up close has a lattice which reminds me of a futuristic circuitry; I've got some rusty panels with blue X's, brushed aluminum, dirty brushed metal with a zigzag, and the decrepit looking metal for rocks that works surprisingly well when made into wall-textures through elevation/leveling.

The pack combines all 3 at a 30% savings. I will be adding one more later which I intend as a pack-exclusive item.
The price will remain the same when that item is added.

If you could make a terrain set with the following:

Default: a more jungle appropriate grass default (see example below)

1: beach sand (see example below)

2: a darker and richer a bit more like soil

3: a lighter, packed mud, dirt trail like (see example below)

4: a decent quality stone, preferably with mossy patches (see example below)

I would buy it the moment you put it up for sale.

Been trying to do this myself but it just doesn't come out right, I think there's something different you have to do, not just drop new textures in and rename them.

i5, NV960 2GB, 16GB memory, 2x 2TB Hybrid, Win10.
i3 , Intel integrated graphics, 6GB memory, 512GB Generic SATAIII Win8.1.
Intel Celeron (duel Core), Radeon integrated graphics, 4GB memory, 180gB Generic SATAII, WinVista.
Q6600, Intel integrated graphics, 8GB memory, 512GB Generic SATAII, Win7.

Thanks for the kind words, gents.

Yeah terrain matching in the engine can be tricky. It has a lot to do with the interpolation of textures that's done when they're masked over each other. For instance, originally this set in particular had lava as a texture, but it was showing up through all the textures above it and frankly ruining everything.
So concessions have to be made.
Typically to really get it to look good I'm finding myself using 4 textures with 1 'similar' one as the mossy type. Path is the only one that seems to prove effortless, as does the wall / rock texture *IF it's dark enough, etc*. And that doesn't count how the textures change once you put them on 'highest' for the terrain shader. Sometimes it'll look great in medium and then you put it on highest and whoop right out the window it goes. It can be tough to get the normal map to match up so I usually do all of mine custom.
Anyyyyyways
I'll take a look at it tonight and see what I can whip up for you.

Took a while to find the right textures, remap them, clone the edges, create functional normals, etc.

But here we go:

I'm packaging it up and getting it ready, should be on the store in a few days when they approve it. It'll be BAG_1024_TROPIC (or 1024px Tropical Terrain).

It does have some minor work needing done. Some of the textures clearly have bright spots that bother my ocd-ness.
But once that's out of the way I'll upload it.

Thanks mate, I can see what you mean about the light patches, i'm a little OCD myself, so yeah I can see how it would drive you crazy. They're looking good so far, pretty much what I was hoping for, although perhaps a finer smoother sand would have been better, but that's no matter as what you have done is great as it is, I can't wait. I have my wallet in hand, the screen lined up, and i'm winding up for the pitch

The forest floor one looks fine with foliage/vegetation on it but the desert one had an unacceptable line up the side which was driving me nuts. Finally got that resolved. Will reupload that tonight.

Terrain pack is now on sale, for those stragglers who were still on the fence.
