Hi everybody,

The question is in the title...

Once you put a new light entity, you can't change the size of it... The "size" handle that appears in the context menu doesn't work ...

Have to delete the current light and put another one with a different size to test groping the result on other objects...

Thanks !

you mean the scale property? it's not meant to.
open the properties of the light and change the light range setting (default 500).

Not sure what you mean but if you select the light ...Then click "Extract " you can then use + / - to resize the outer radius again

Thanks guys !

@Smallg,

Ok, I saw! this means that the "size" and even "rotate" handles doesn't works ? however this option is available (see picture below)

While it's possible to change the size during the creation of light (first time) or even using "extract" (like said Synchromesh)

It's strange...

Now, I know ... Thanks!

The light range is set by the radius of the of the outer circle ...You cannot rescale the entity like a model
That's just a marker .... hence being disabled in the menu

Wonder if it would be possible to scale the radius though, I never even considered it before but honestly its not a bad idea to add it to the widget.

If it had a transparent radius globe around it that you could see when using the scaling tool then ye it could be handy

Doesn't matter if it's not possible to modify the widget menu especially for light ... (removing "Scale" and "Rotate" lines)

Just to know...

I remember it's the same problem in other software (oldest)... MapScape , if you know it ?

No I think Mariokiki wants the scale to effect the light radius as well

@Bod,

Synchromesh is right !

I know the model representing light can't change its size... I spoke about the radius of the light.

Otherwise, congratulations for this idea of using a 3D object rather than a "decal" object for light !
I'm more comfortable with it to locate the position of the light.

Thanks again !

I never thought to do that ..... Nice one
