Today was going to be one of those days, so i was fed up with windows 10 and this intel card and thought right I'm off to get a new one. Scoured the whole of the city (even pc world :/) and couldn't find anything to fit (SFF box) so returned home on a huff. Then all of a sudden i went into my little vintage bike shed and lookie what i spied in between the bikes heh i wonder if i can make the fan less Geforce210 to fit muhahah, Photos included lol I'm on it now and hasn't yet exploded or otherwise done anything drastic fingers crossed and am now going to stress test it

That would end up over heating big time, those fins need air to circulate around them to work, at least an inch of space :p

I've never done anything that creative before

lol yeah m8 i know it was a mad moment and a bit of fun i worked in the IT industry for about 15 years building and maintaining servers till it sent me abit round the bend i was going to shove it all in a server box but i kinda like it so i chose the NVS 315. P.S i have drilled holes in a shuttle box to increase airflow when i had a ramping card in it about 5 years ago...looked alittle like that pic ( i did run it for 3 days solid with no overheating as it was a fanless card)

lol bucket of water springs to mind, When i was working for Lincoln council on the millennium bug project = 1999 (which we all knew was complete rubbish as we'd already clocked the pc's past that date and they worked fine) I did mention maybe we could say that it could be cured by extra cooling lol after my manager picked himself up off the floor he said right i've got 6 months left before they realize its all rubbish so i better use my time and look for a new job i suggest you do the same. isn't the pc world grand

Ah yes. The Millennium bug. What a let-down that was! In the place where I used to live all the residents had a meeting to work out plans for every contingency - like if the electricity went off.

Nothing happened.
