Im messing about with some space maps again and was wondering if its possible to make a ship a 3rd person character and then scale it down so as giving the map a feel of longer distance/ larger map? the maps ive done so far only take 2mins to cross and seem really small when doing space?

Sounds good in theory, providing you can get the camera distance much closer and you don't encounter half a dozen other issues resulting from the general functionality of other parts of the engine which will be expecting an FPS or third person style approach. Best of luck to ya!

Thanks Lee will keep plugging at it and see where it goes, im going to model up a couple of cruisers and some more fighters to test it out with in fact ive scaled down the tall story instance level and used sci fi battleships with laser decals with some ok results.
