This maybe a daft question but i do like to have grass/flowers etc etc but if i paint it on because its animating it kills my CPU and so i carn't
So the light bulb went on is there anyway to stop the grasses animating and make it static therefore reducing the polygon count and in so doing stopping mine and im sure others PC's from spitting toffee crisp wrappers out the DVD draw?

Set the grass shader to lowest in the Matrics mode in test game (tab tab).

That should stop it from animating and also take away the shadows increasing FPS.

Tried that Myke didn't work for me it just seems that when i have any grass on my maps i hit major lag = 1-5 fps in some cases, take it off and it shoots up to around 14-15 or more, it could be the amount of grass im using i suppose. I'll play with the settings a little more starange thing is if i use tons of static bushes etc it has no effect but obviously takes longer

What is the increase if you shut off bloom and shadows?

Also would it be possible to put your machine specs in your sig for your profile.

Might give me a better clue.

I've got something to say - It's better to burn out than fade away.
