I've been at it again - seeing what I can do with my limited modelling skills and very limited Lua skills:

Thanks, seppgirty! I appreciate it! It took me a few hours to get it working. Still needs refining.

You had me expecting pixelated nudity, but alas the same old blood and detached limbs. Just kidding, nice job!

Epic! I'd love to have the blood on the screen effect for the game i'll be making, just the level of gore i'm looking for

Hmn, is there a way to detect if the player is hit?

I'm thinking along the lines of a script in an always active object that detects each time the player is hit it shows a blood splatter sprite on a random location on screen for a couple of seconds.

You could probably use sprites linked to the player health . GG has current directional hit arrows. If you can find the graphics maybe you could replace these, it would place it at the same side as the hit onscreen. I suspect these may be tiny images and fixed in screen size but maybe worth a look at hit direction for ideas.

Nice video

Yes. There's several health related commands in lua. Check out the global file for the full list of commands. Pretty easy to use some sprites for the effect.

@ lordjulian Nice script there. The legs look a little symmetrical though, you might want to alter one into two pieces perhaps? Or give one more blood and gore.
