I know you cleaver modeling guys have done horses it seems nobody has done a knight on horseback, anyone fancy a go doesn't have to fight just walk up and down the castle grounds?

Hi Honkeyboy,
i would be cool, and i think it is possible, but there is one limitation and thats the 62 or 63 bones setup for the character shader.
but if i have some more time, i can always give it a try.

You could probably get around the bone issue by fully rigging the horse, but only giving the knight enough bones to have it "bounce" on the horse. For the knight you could probably get way with just a single spine, pelvis, l/r thighs, and l/r calfs, you wouldn't really need head, arms, hands or feet bones.

Ahhhh A Knight on a hos yummy that'd brighten the castles up agree with belidos the knight doesnt actually have to animate that much or not at all maybe 1 bone up to his neck so his head could follow the player or that and the sword arm lol tbh i dont know how many bones your horse uses havent quite got the hang of bones yet i did get my mech's legs animating but couldn't import it properly to GG so best left to the experts

This has been part of the fantasy pack by John Fletcher for good ol' FPSC.
It came with quite a few mounted characters. These might even be free now and are, of course, fully animated.
I believe they aren't in GG because, as the guard and horse are the same model, it would likely look odd in ragdoll and people would complain about that.

Should be easy to convert these

It's the FPSC pack 42 I think. I think it's one of the free packs for the old FPSC.

well ive loaded him up into fragmotion and converted him as an .obj then into Anim8or and out as a .3ds loaded him up into GG and he works with no distortion and he he is, will check the animations tomorrow p.s the rider and horse were actually 2 separate models the rider was out of position causing the warping. If its ok to use these i will make a start on converting them all. as GG has a lack of females i just converted the one of the female villagers as well and lastly for the night the mounted orc on a warg
