i have a problem with the ai behaving strange all of a sudden, the zombies just run into the walls in every building.
the odd thing is it worked before and when i load an older backup from a day earlier it works fine.
i haven't changed much other than adding new entities, designing the level further so i doubt it's one of the lua scripts (also the backup would load the same scripts). any idea what this could be, or what i could try ? thanks in advance!

Check the FPE of the entity the zombies are walking through, if it doesn't have ...

Forcesimpleobstacle=3

Then add it to the FPE.

yes i know, they all have that option in the fpe, i checked
the weird thing is that when i load a backup (that uses the same scripts and entities/fpe files) then it still works,
so i doubt its something with the fpe files, or is there some kind of cache for these files?

Make sure you don't create islands (raised bits of terrain surrounded by water) as the AI obstacle system can get very confused if you try this. Best to keep your levels so there are no islands separate from the rest of the level. I am considering this a bug however for a fix when the AI tasks begin.

hm does that affect the whole map ? because i did in fact raise the terrain at certain points.
i made a building that should look like the top floor broke down. the building is on the ground, but i raised the terrain on one side.
however the ai on the complete map acts weird now (even in buildings on complete flat terrain). i will try to flatten the whole terrain and see if thats the issue. otherwise will have to recreate from backup i guess. thanks for the info!
