Hi all I bought these packs years ago and came across a post on the orginal forum that they had now been released on a free licence so I'm currently converting them over to GG and will release them on here for free, I take no credit for the creation and if any credit is to be given please give it to Tridinaut. I also have the .3ds format and as you can see will need to rescale them properly. There are also 2 modern weapon packs which hopefully I will get round to in the next few days but if anyone would like to help let me know

Do be careful here. As yes the license may be free, but that does not mean you may be able to modify and redistribute these models.

Please recheck the license again.

Quote: ""III. In the instance where part, or all of the media in your digital creation(s) is easily accessible by a third party, we suggest that you kindly notify the third party that they have no rights to the use of media from Tridinaut Content Packs(c) in their own freeware/commercial digital creation(s) unless they themselves acquire a license to do so from Tridinaut or Tridinaut approved affiliate. " Found their license, its a no
in your own game production(s) but you may not redistribute it in whole, part, modified or original form outside of your own game production(s).""

As you can see everyone will need to get this license. So you might want to hold off on these for distribution and just use them for yourself.

Thank you.

As PirateMyke said, you have to be very careful when redistributing models, even if they are under a free license. Generally the free license only covers usage, not distribution. That's why when Teabone started converting the FPSC models he didn't distribute them until he had asked and received permission to do so, despite the fact that they wee being given away free.

I checked with Lee first m8 and sent him the link to the page where it was stated these were free, he said that it should be ok as long as i give them away free and not state that they were mine, otherwise i wouldn't have posted them, if for any reason you know of that this is not the case let me know and i will take them down
Quote from the post "What is the license? I just read "They have a friendly license too (OK for commercial games!)"
if anyone requires the link to the post i can provide it, these posts were form 2013 i bought the packs around 2010 and the makers site etc disappeared off the earth in 2013. But yeah Myke i do get you i have the original licence too
