Hello everyone,

I share a tutorial to help you design the effects of winds on the animated grasses and plants.

Indeed GameGuru with the wind speed on the grass or plants can not be changed.
If you simply change "animspeed" FPE file you will be quickly blocked by a non-realistic effect......

How to solve it?

Well you need to use the trick that I share with you today ^^!

Download the sample files and follow the video tutorial!
Choose animation speed will represent the wind, then properly place the herbs for the animation effects may not be unique, to ensure that the objects do not overlap !

You will therefore have the same effect as the wind on the grass in the UE4 engine (example here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCZmbCRfGF0&ab_channel=ChangeGamesEntertainment )

Do NOT change the "Anim Speed" in the engine itself on being chosen as the engine does not always take into account the change.
The animation speed should ALWAYS be chosen from the FPE file to the object.

Do not forget to remove the "DBO" file of the object before any amendment of the FPE file, restart your card and the effect will be correctly updated.

I hope this will give you ideas ^^

Remains only expect an animation speed option (the wind) herbs produced by GameGuru

Thank you Devcore35 for sharing! This is very easy way to do weather effects without having wind modifiers or something more complicated.

Very nice! In games like Skyrim there is a global wind volocity variable that affects all foliage based on changing weather. Looks like this will be something we can do in GG too
